Voter Registration

The pre-registration deadline for this election is October 19, 2026 at 5:00 P.M.
Absentee Voting
In-Office
Absentee voting will be available beginning Wednesday, October 14th in the Jefferson County Election Office on the main floor of the Jefferson County Courthouse, 51 E. Briggs Ave., Fairfield.
Office hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 A.M. - 4:30 P.M.
Open until 5:00 P.M.: October 19 & 30, 2026
Open Saturday: October 31, 2026, 9:00 A.M. - 5:00 P.M.
Last day to vote absentee in office: November 2, 2026
By Mail
Requests to mail an absentee ballot must be received by October 19, 2026 at 5:00 P.M.
An absentee ballot request form is available on the Iowa Secretary of State's website.
