Disease Prevention
As a public health organization, Jefferson County Public Health is committed to the prevention & surveillance of diseases in our community. In order to do so, we perform an assortment of services within our community, including:
Providing free condoms
Adult & child immunizations
Tuberculosis testing & medication monitoring
Surveillance of communicable & environmental diseases
Communicable disease follow-up
- These follow-ups are intended to help us identify disease outbreaks, as well as to ensure the health & safety of those who are infected, & those around them – it is not intended to ostracize or single people out, nor is it performed because someone did something wrong.
